I suspect I'm not the only person who had never heard of the adductor muscle
until last week.
So is it a coincidence that the muscle gets prominent mention
by Al Gore's accuser
in the report that surfaced last week, and then the "adductor" gets a mention from Bill Clinton
, of all people?
In this George Vescey column
last week from the World Cup,
Clinton tells the New York Times
sports columnist that the key to mobility for older men is walking up flights of stairs to strengthen the adductor muscle.
Meanwhile, Gore's accuser said in the transcription of her Jan. 8, 2009 statement to Portland police that Gore requested work on his adductor when she went to his room at the Hotel Lucia on Oct. 24, 2006. The masseuse called that request a "bit unusual" because she was taught that a massage of the adductors "could cause an involuntary erection."
