Menomena Goes Back to School

MenomenaschoolHave you ever wondered what Danny Seim would look like playing drums from a wheel chair? I didn't think so. But in what is easily one of the weirder features to run on Pitchfork.tv recently, Seim and the rest of Menomena play two songs inside an empty schoolroom—including a particularly rad version of "Five Little Rooms" with a wheelchair-bound Seim beating the living shit out of his kit. Both clips splice live footage with shots from around the school, which makes the key line in "Five Little Rooms" ("All this could be yours someday") that much creepier. Also note the American flag by Seim's arm. Menomena clearly love America. And public education.

I can't wait to see Pitchfork film the Decemberists playing at soccer practice.
