So, The
Oregon Cultural Trust has this
Days of Culture thing going on, which mostly seems to involve otherwise normal people confessing that they do
potentially embarrassing creative things in their spare time. But there are also a lot of events going on,
the most interesting of which (to me) is a free performance created by director Philip Cuomo and the students of the Portland Actors Conservatory.
Cuomo's an expert at physical comedy with an absurdist bent, so it's no surprise that
"A Culture of Errors" will involve clown-terrorists. The performance should be worth attending just for the
confused reactions of unsuspecting customers at Violetta. There are many, many other events happening this weekend; find them all at
oregondaysofculture.org.
"A Culture of Errors,"2 pm Friday, Oct. 8 at Director Park, Park Avenue between Southwest Taylor and Yamhill Streets. Free.
