Give It Up for Charity on Nov. 11

We're all sensitive people with so much to give. And we would like to humbly suggest that you give, and then get it on, at the kickoff party for Give!Guide, WW's annual charitable giving campaign. Give! It Up PDX! (the two exclamation points show how excited! We are!) will be an evening of dancing and earnest, heartfelt generosity featuring awesome bands Heavy Nova (!) and BOAT (!!) presented by WW and Young Professionals of Portland (who are a lot more fun than they sound).

It's a cheap show ($10!) at a cool venue (Left Bank Annex!), and all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the 79 nonprofits in this year's Give!Guide and YPOP's nonproft partners. If you buy a ticket now, we'll throw in a Trimet pass. You won't even have to drive! Further details below the jump.

The Holiday Charitable Giving Season Starts Thursday, November 11

Young Professionals of Portland (YPOP) and Willamette Week's 2010 Give!Guide team up to present Give! It UP PDX! at Portland's Left Bank Annex. It will be a joyous evening of music and fun, featuring Portland's own Heavy Nova and
"sloppy pop" band, Boat.

Both YPOP and WW's Give!Guide share the goal of developing the year-end giving habit in Portlanders under the age of 36. So they've joined together to create this unique event, where party-goers can have a great time while learning more about dozens of fabulous Portland-area nonprofits.
