New M. Ward Video For Your Eternal Enjoyment

M Ward's Yes, yes. M.Ward is no longer a Portlander and we should not be using this space on the recently transplanted New Hampshirian (Hampshirite?). But M. Ward's spirit is still here, and, if that isn't enough for you, then at least one of the two gents who created this video for the song "Chinese Translation" from Ward's upcoming Post-war is from PDX.

Directed by Fryk Beat co-founder, Riddenpaa bassist and Portlander Eric Johnson, and North Carolinan Joel Trussell of Jason Forrest and Kid 606, this video is a great example of how the visual medium can add to a musical experience (astounding considering that the musical experience M. Ward provides with audio alone is already exceptional). Upon hearing this track, I couldn't stop humming the chorus, upon seeing the video, I can't stop considering the song's meaning.
