So, we here at Local Cut
let you down. We failed to tell you about the planned webcast of Sleater-Kinney's Aug. 2 show at Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club on National Public Radio's website. We apologize. But wait. Last night's show, one of the rock trio's final gigs ever, was cancelled due to an electrical emergency of some sort. Lucky for us, because now we can tell you about the makeup show to take place Thursday, Aug. 3 at the D.C. club. The performance will be webcast live on NPR.org at 9 pm Eastern Time (which is 6 pm here in Portland, folks). Starting Friday, the recording will be available on the NPR website and the "All Songs Considered" website.
You, fine Local Cut
reader, have been saved by chance. Oh, and if anyone asks about those electrical burns on Local Cut
correspondent Jason Simms' arms, those are from his cat.
