RETAIL THERAPIST: This Weekend in Shopping

There's a crazy spate of sales going on this weekend, starting this evening at Pigeon Toe Ceramics (727 SE Morrison St.), where proprietor Lisa Jones promises "up to 50 percent off...seconds, prototypes, one-of-a-kinds, clearance and discontinued designs," plus 10 percent off all merchandise store-wide. Here's your chance to pick up some cool mason jar lamps. The sale runs 6-8 pm tonight (Friday, Sept. 7).

Over the weekend at Ace Cleaners (1022 SW Stark St.), 11 boutiques are joining up for collective sale—see the poster, above—that includes merch from Lizard Lounge, Radish Underground, Folly, Parallel, Bubble Boutique, Gypsy Chic, Pin-Me Apparel, Parts+Labor, Zella, Suite 6 and AK Vintage. At last, a chance to pick up Nau outerwear and mildly creepy Keith McQueen jewelry in one room. The PDX Collective Sale runs 11 am-6 pm Saturday and noon-5 pm Sunday, Sept. 18-19.



After you're done at the Ace, head over to the grand opening party for Bikeasaurus, a new fashion-forward shop selling bike accessories and bike-themed books, art and jewelry. Owner Becky Morton promises free music, donuts and more from 2-6 pm Saturday, Sept. 18 under the Hawthorne bridge.

Also on Saturday is the fourth anniversary party and sale at Tilde (7919 SE 13th Ave.), our favorite little clothing and housewares shop in Sellwood. Owner Debbe Hamada promises Blue Kangaroo coffee and Fleur de Lis Bakery treats 10 am-8 pm Saturday (and bubbly starting at 4 pm)—and 20 percent off "nearly everything" in the store. Sweet!
