The Muslim imam whose plans to build an Islamic community center two blocks from Ground Zero in New York City set off a torrent of words last summer will be in Portland next month to share a few words of his own.
Feisal Abdul Rauf has been added to the speakers list for the Q Gathering, according to Kevin Palau,
president of the Beaverton-based Luis Palau Association.
The Q Gathering is an annual national conference that discusses the biggest issues affecting the church's role in society.
This year's event will be at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland (aka "Jesus' favorite city") from April 27-29.
