Here are the details on this week's new liquor license applications:

Downtown Irish-themed bar chain Kells has applied to open Kells Brew Pub in the currently empty building at 210 NW 21st Ave.

Also jumping into the brewing game is Old Town Pizza, with an application to turn its existing branch at Vanport Center into a brew pub.

Chie Horibuchi, who somehow manages to have only nine hits on Google for his or her name, has applied to open a sandwich shop serving beer, wine and sake called Behind the Museum Cafe in the former Boyd's cafe behind the Portland Art Museum.

Michele McDonnell and Gabriel Lageson, the owners of East End, have applied along with Zachary and Kyja King to open Garageland, a "space for art, film and other performing arts" in the building next door to the bar at 215 SE Grand Ave. The new business will serve Mexican food and have a full bar.

McMinnville's Golden Valley Brewery has applied to open a bar and restaurant in Beaverton, in the former Chili's at 1520 NW Bethany Blvd.

The former home of Meat, the raw-focused pet boutique that relocated to the other side of East Burnside Street two years ago, has a new tenant. Robert Oliveira has applied to open Schmooze Cafe, a "coffee shop/bistro" serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tigard burger joint Joe's Burgers & Bar, which is owned by the same folks as the Pearl District restaurant 50 Plates, has applied to open a third branch in a currently unoccupied space at 624 SW 4th Ave.

The Left Bank Cafe, in the egregiously misnamed Left Bank Building (it's on the right bank of the Willamette), has been sold to a man with the delightful name Myles O'Malley. It will become Stingray Cafe.

Afrique Bistro, which has been on the market for a very long time, has finally sold. Angie Robertson and Trevor Parrish have applied to turn the space into Tavin's Sports Pub. 

Jinx, the bar next to Vault Martini Lounge on Northwest 12th Avenue, has been sold. It will become Jinx Baang Gok Kitchen & Lounge. It will serve Thai food.
