An alert reader sent in a photo of a new billboard that's gone up at the confluence of Interstate 5 and Highway 217 near Lake Oswego. The billboard, which combines photographs of Patricia McCaig, the political consultant who is Gov. John Kitzhaber's chief adviser on the Columbia River Crossing project, and state Treasurer Ted Wheeler

The billboard does not say who paid for it. It just says "Got Corruption?" along with the Twitter hashtag #stopcrc.

Wheeler is a key player in the future of the CRC because he must approve the project's financial plan before Oregon lawmakers can sell $450 million worth of bonds for the state's down payment.

James Sinks, a spokesman for Wheeler, says he and his boss were unaware of the billboard.
