Big Haul For Anti-Fluoride Campaign

Clean Water Portland, the political action committee opposing Measure 26-151, which would fluoridate Portland's water, had a profitable last few days.

Clean Water reported $10,000 from the Deutsch Family Trust of Santa Monica, Calif.; $6,000 from the Kansas Taxpayers Network, Inc.; $5,000 from Healthy Pets Northwest Alberta, Inc.; and $4,000 from Roger Burt of Portland.

Those checks and some smaller contributions bring the campaign's 2013 total raised to $110,000, with $46,000 on hand. The pro-fluoridation campaign, Healthy Kids, Healthy Portland, has raised $152,000 and has $49,000 on hand.

Ballots will be counted May 21.
