In this new column, WW music calendar and contributing writer Mitch Lillie helps the discerning club-goer put together their weekly calendar by compiling Portland's best EDM options for the next seven days. Turn up, tune in, drop the bass.

— On Thursday, former Starfucker Ryan Biornstad and DJ Troubled Youth, aka Megan Holmes, spin dance pop-cum-art rock at Black Book, the renovated former Yes and No space in C-town. (Black Book is not very forthcoming with details on price or time, but is definitely 21+.)

— New York City's Chris Glover, who rose to DJ Adoration Level Alpha in 2011 after tasteful French house remixes of Lana Del Rey and Dirty Vegas, plays at Holocene's Fresh on Friday as Penguin Prison. In his originals, Glover tries a little too hard with his own singing, so relish in this not-so-rare DJ set. (9 pm, $10, 21+.)

— On a Saturday lacking any major touring DJs—syphoned off on weekends by SF and Seattle—why not cram into Booty Bassment, where Dimitri Dickinson, Maxx Bass and Nathan Detroit have been selling out and burning down Holocene every month? It's $5 before 10 pm for a reason: After that time, dump trucks full of mall-outfitted club-goers start arriving from points far west of our fair city. BTW, their promo video, shown below, is both hilarious and accurate. (9 pm, $5 before 10 pm, $10 after, 21+.)

— If you've got any spunk left in you and you feel like really turning up on a Wednesday night, DJ Green Lantern—yes, the dude who used to be the official DJ for Shady Records—will run the trap at the Whiskey Bar. (10 pm, $10, 21+.)
