A Dollar Tree Grows in Northeast?

Some Hollywood District residents are mad that a Dollar Tree store might be moving into the old Trader Joe's location on Northeast Sandy Boulevard between 42nd and 43rd avenues.

One anonymous resident is dropping off flyers urging residents to call Dollar Tree; the New & Neville Real Estate leasing out the space; and Trader Joe's (which still occupies the lease despite moving to a larger nearby location) to voice concern about the potential new addition.

The gripe against Dollar Tree? A belief that there's not a need for another discount retail store when there's already a Grocery Outlet close by and a Dollar Tree on MAX stop away at Lloyd Center. The flyer's author instead wants a more family-friendly tenant: The Children's Gym.
