Because you demanded it, another classic of cinema improved by computer-generated something-or-other and oh-so-sexy environmentalism. As spaceman Keanu makes clear at the confusing conclusion, if the Earth dies Jennifer Connelly dies, which stands to reason, but if Jennifer Connelly dies the earth survives. As far as dramatic conflicts go, this seems pretty manageable to me. Unless, of course, Keanu has tragically discovered that Earth girls are easy...to fall in love with! God, I love Hollywood.
