Please ignore that conditioned impulse to add the word "Orchestra" to the film's title, along with the rather oddball cast. It's another low-key Spanish-produced thriller from Brad Anderson, the director of 2004's The Machinist
. Anderson is becoming a dependable source of Hitchcockian menace, and here he's really pushing my buttons—there are few things I like better than a movie set on a train.
You may remember The Machinist
as the most disturbing display of actorly weight-loss in Christian Bale's wax on, wax off career. Holy anorexic Batman, Batman! It's definitely worth a rental. Here's the trailer if you don't believe me:
