Oregon State University Women's Basketball Team Advances to the Final Four

Go team go!

Time to put your deep-seated misogyny away for a minute and let your Oregon jingoism take over: The Oregon State University basketball team is going to the Final Four in the NCAA basketball tournament for the first time ever!

The Women's Final Four, but guess what? It still counts.

Tonight, in a nail-biter, the second-seeded Beavers beat the top-seeded Baylor Lady Bears by 3 points with just seconds left in the game.

The tense matchup was tied at 55-55 with less than 30 seconds to go when Sydney Wiese made a free throw to put the Beavs ahead. Then, after a missed jump shot from Baylor, Wiese made two more free throws.

As the buzzer sounded, Baylor's Niya Johnson missed a 3-point shot and victory belonged to the Beavers.

According to ESPN, this was Baylor's third consecutive Elite Eight loss.

The Beavers will go head-to-head with 10-time NCAA champion "So Good They Are Ruining Women's Basketball" UConn in the Final Four on April 3 in Indianapolis.
