Amnesia is your much-improved ex. Back when this brewery was situated on North Mississippi Avenue, it made meh IPAs and had a menu built around grilled sausages. Then it moved up to the 'Shoug and got its shit together. Now, Amnesia has one of the most ambitious and consistently excellent barrel programs in the region and a Texas-scale selection of really good barbecue. If you're passing through, plan on eating here—the pulled pork sandwich is better than nine of 10 in Portland proper. If it's a warm day, look for something like a fruited Berliner Weisse, which has rotating infusions. If it's chilly, get the Milk of Amnesia Stout or one of its variants. All three IPAs showed new verve, too. Why wasn't Amnesia like this when it was here in Portland? Is it us?

Drink This: I've been in this location three times and never had a less than excellent beer. Order a style you typically like with confidence.
