Ground Breaker Brewing is a celiac-safe space. The nation's first dedicated gluten-free gastropub has won four Great American Beer Festival medals in four years, meaning you can rest easy knowing you are getting the absolute best barley-free beer available. Ground Breaker makes beer by fermenting the sugars in chestnuts, lentils and a gluten-free grain called sorghum, which is unfamiliar to the wheatlands of Europe and North America, but a staple in arid parts of Africa and in Central America. Ground Breaker's pub has eight taps, with up to three dedicated to in-house selections, like the popular imperial IPA, which is coming back in larger quantities in 2016. Look forward to upcoming seasonal options Coffee Pale in the spring and Citrus Saison and an apricot brew as the weather warms up. Tastes are at most $2, pints $6, and the delicious smell of roasted chestnut is still free.
