There's Hawaiian-themed and then there's HAWAIIAN-THEMED, and luckily this Northeast Portland dispensary went with the former. The owner, who apparently hails from our fair 50th state, dressed up a homey little shop with some decorative thatch, a couple of plants and, on my visit, some vaguely island-themed music. It's a nice touch for a tiny shop—I walked behind the counter after being checked in, thrown off by the layout, and was met with mild bemusement and courteous redirection—in an often-overlooked neighborhood, and the decor fits the laid-back vibe of the budtenders on duty. After chatting about Bernie Sanders and edibles freak-outs, I left with an eighth of sticky Green Crack for the market-ish rate of $35, and dude flashed me the peace sign as I left.
