Get a Taste of "Rare Treat," the New Collaborative EP Between Myke Bogan and the Last Artful, Dodgr

Rare Treat is right.

How else to describe a project bringing together two of the most exciting voices in Portland music? Today, the EYRST label dropped a four-song collaboration Myke Bogan and the Last Artful, Dodgr, and it's as mesmerizing as you'd expect. Bogan's perma-blunted internal monologue pairs perfectly with Dodgr's nasal sing-song flow and producer Neill Von Tally's cosmic beatscapes. It is effortlessly magnetic, and the only complaint is that it's not longer.

A native Southern Californian, former Arts & Culture Editor Matthew Singer ruined Portland by coming here in 2008. He is an advocate for the canonization of the Fishbone and Oingo Boingo discographies, believes pro-wrestling is a serious art form and roots for the Lakers. Fortunately, he left Portland for Tucson, Arizona, in 2021.

Willamette Week’s reporting has concrete impacts that change laws, force action from civic leaders, and drive compromised politicians from public office.
