Donald Trump Can't Find a Huge, Classy Venue in Vancouver, Wash.

So he might come to Portland on Saturday.

Is there any room in Vancouver for Donald Trump?

The now all-but-certain Republican Party presidential nominee has hit a roadblock to his plans to visit Vancouver, Wash., this Saturday: His campaign can't find a venue to host him.

"Mr. Trump called in and said he's going to try to make it out here May 7," says Katja Delavar, state committeewoman for the Clark County Republican Party. "Since then, everybody's been scrambling to try to find a location. It has not been easy."

Trump's team has been turned down by stadiums, churches and schools—many of them already booked with previously scheduled games and graduations.

"Right now, the Trump campaign is looking for a suitable venue for the number of people who are going to show up," Delavar says. "Even the Clark County Events Center has something booked that day."

The lack of a venue means Trump's team is considering other locations for a rally. (The Donald visits Eugene on Friday night.)

Joel Mattila, the Clark County organizer for Trump, told OPB on Wednesday that he's seeking any sufficiently large location—in Vancouver or Portland.

That's right: A Donald Trump visit to Little Beirut this weekend is in play.
