James Taylor Will Play Private Portland Fundraiser for Hillary Clinton

Singer whose past includes visions of fire, rain will croon at Jordan Schnitzer's home.

The singer-songwriter James Taylor will perform in Portland Monday night at a private fundraiser for Democratic presidential Hillary Clinton at the home of Jordan Schnitzer, the CEO of Harsch Investment Properties.

Tickets are a little more expensive than the typical Taylor concert. Here's the scale, according to an invitation circulating among Democratic donors:

Fighter: $2,700 (includes a ticket to the show).

Champion: $10,000 (includes a photo with James Taylor).

Host: $27,000 (must contribute or raise that much, includes a reception and photo with Taylor).

The event is being co-hosted by Schnitzer's mother, Arlene; KINK host Sheila Hamilton, Nike executive Heidi O'Neill and her husband Patrick; and investor Craig Hartzman. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Schnitzer has traditionally donated to Democratic campaigns. But his liberalism has its limits: Last month, Harsch Investment Properties gave $10,000 to the campaign to defeat Measure 97, a union-backed $3 billion annual corporate sales tax.
