Portland police confirmed that Porter is the suspected driver in the case. However, Portland police still have not said why Porter drove onto the sidewalk or whether he had a motive in the crash, which injured three women.

Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles confirmed to WW this afternoon that Porter is the registered owner of the vehicle that was driven Friday morning onto a PSU sidewalk.
