NO YOU CAN’T: Llewellyn Elementary School Principal Steve Powell banned fifth-grader Dru Lechert-Kelly, who is white, from the school talent show for dancing to a parody of TI’s “Whatever You Like” while wearing an Obama mask. “I won’t say why it’s inappropriate,” Powell told The Oregonian. “Why? Because I don’t want to.” 
  2. ENGORGING THEIR POCKETS: Two former administrators and one current employee of the Reynolds School District are under investigation by the state ethics commission for using district money to pay for unnecessary medical procedures. One of the trio, ex-Superintendent Terry Kneisler, allegedly spent $15,000 on massages, cosmetic dental work, laser eye surgery and Viagra.
  3. FAREWELL TOUR? Stanky Leg-dancing Republican Party chairman Michael Steele, who recently offered a groveling apology to Rush Limbaugh for calling the incendiary radio host, uh, “incendiary,” rallied the troops last week in Portland. Steele said of the Democratic Party, “Their team has a better game plan, their team has a better set of players, their team has the winning way.” 
  4. ACTUAL FAREWELL: Longtime Oregon football coach Mike Bellotti officially announced he would move to athletic director, and will be replaced as head coach by Chip Kelly.
