I live in Tucson, Arizona, and have been listening to the Rick Emerson Show through various means for over ten years now.

I too am very upset with the way the show has been changed after moving to KUFO. I cannot comprehend why CBS brought the number one local morning talk show to KUFO if they were just going to play music for more than half of the show’s time on air? The addition of so much bland music along with the drastic reduction of show content just doesn’t make any sense. Please instead let Rick, Tim, and Sarah talk and entertain us for the four full hours.

RENN FAYRE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT
[Re: “Revisiting Renn Fayre,”:] Renn Fayre has always been an easy target. Way back when I attended Reed, someone anonymously informed the OLCC that minors were drinking beer on campus, and so we had undercover OLCC enforcers roaming campus all weekend.

It’s kind of good to see that the love/hate relationship Portland has with Reed is still thriving.

The fact is, if you go to Renn Fayre looking for drugs, or sex, or rock ’n’ roll, you WILL find them. But even though that is the willfully perpetuated mythos of the event, that’s not really what Renn Fayre is about. I attended four Renn Fayres and never imbibed a single illicit substance. Oh, but my experience wouldn’t move any papers, or generate any outrage, would it?
