Given Portland's wood-fired pizza renaissance that's seen the pie elevated to hallowed culinary status, it can be hard for a pizzeria to distinguish itself. So Bella Faccia has established itself as a beloved neighborhood slicery as much with its patio, perfect for summer pitchers; its cashew-based vegan pies; and its friendly staff as with its crisp-crusted pizzas ($16.50-$26 for a large). But the pizza is excellent, refined with quality ingredients and artful topping combinations. Every neighborhood should have a pizza joint, and any neighborhood would be lucky if it were as good as Bella Faccia.
