Cheap Eats 2005

Ethiopian cuisine is legendary for its so-spicy-it-hurts flavors, but the food at Blue Nile, which still has plenty of flavor, won't set your mouth on fire (unless you want it to). Beef wot ($7.25 lunch, $9 dinner), cooked in a spicy red-pepper sauce is about as hot-and tasty-as it gets. A variety of vegetarian dishes offers many choices, from the spicy red lentils of the misser wot ($5 lunch, $6.50 dinner) to the more mild atiklit alitcha ($5 lunch, $6.50 dinner), a medley of cabbage, potatoes and carrots.
