Cheap Eats 2005

This no-frills taqueria has been satisfying North Portlanders' (and others') appetites for quick Mexican food since 1970. The King Burrito ($3.65) is the menu's crown jewel, with an entire cheesy chile relleno, refried beans, grilled steak and garlicky avocado sauce crammed into a flour tortilla. To satisfy your royal appetite for a less than princely sum, order the combo plate ($6.75) with choice of meat, like grilled steak asada, plus rice, beans, tortillas and all the trimmings. Or load up on a bacon double cheeseburger with all the fixin's-it's that good. (AP)
