But Muddy's is well worth the stop—it's warm, it's comforting, it's inexpensive and the food is damn good. Though it bills itself as a coffeehouse, it has an all-day breakfast and lunch menu that offers far more than standard coffee shop fare, with a mouth-watering tuna melt ($5.75) and an absolutely perfect cinnamon-infused French toast ($4.75). Its quirky atmosphere makes you feel like you're gathering in your friend's living room—and it won't take long before you realize that, actually, you are. (LP)
