Cheap Eats 2009

Once you’re done cringing at the astrological name, you’ll find a trim little restaurant and bar serving refined takes on American comfort food. The classic BLT is filled out with a pair of extra letters—A for avocado and Z for grilled zucchini—becoming the BLATZ ($7.50), which sounds like a bug hitting your windshield and tastes like, well, a BLT, but better. Rosemary fancies up the mac ’n’ cheese nicely ($8), while French fries are hit with gently spicy Cajun seasoning (BAM!) and paired with housemade chipotle ketchup ($4, happy hour only). (ES)
