The shawarma sandwich’s Turkish cousin by way of Germany, the döner kebab ($6.99) served in this sleek shotgun establishment is a solid fist of shaved meat (here it’s turkey roasted gyro-style) in a freshly baked pita, adorned with veggies, some feta and a tangy yogurt sauce. If this sounds like the ultimate “we just closed the bar down” grub to you, well, the Döner folks agree. They reopen for late-night service 1 to 4 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
