Cheap Eats 2010

Grant’s, tucked away in far-flung Northeast Portland, continues to deliver the goods after six years in business. These gooey beef torpedoes ($5.50 for a half, $9.75 whole) are best enjoyed on the premises, where you can enjoy the delicious slurry of intermingling juices from the grilled beef, peppers, onions and cheese before the Amoroso roll it’s all nestled in becomes a soggy mess. In-house diners get housemade chips subbed for the usual bag of Lay’s!
