Cheap Eats 2009

Technically speaking, only the cysteine amino acids in the egg of a Reggie Deluxe sandwich ($8) will actually help relieve your hangover. That little factoid doesn’t stop people from enjoying the rest of the gravy-laden, fried-chicken, bacon-and-cheese-on-a-biscuit nirvana that cuts through the red-eyed haze. Less ambitious efforts like the standard biscuits and gravy ($5) will satisfy for those who wish to eat again before the day is out, but one Pine State sandwich and a hot cup of coffee in the morning is, at over 750 calories by our estimation, a great way to keep the grocery bills down.
