With its shelves of board games, thoughtfully landscaped patio and a resident cat loafing around a collection of mismatched vintage furniture, Leisure Public House can best be described as part coffee shop, part circa-1976 basement rec room. In fact, on a recent evening, a sandwich from the extensive grilled-cheese menu on my plate and Sam Cooke on the jukebox, the only intrusion of the current decade was a group of regulars engaged in a spirited discussion of Farmville, the ubiquitous Facebook application. As Cooke himself would say, here the livin' is easy.
