Working in teams, Portlanders raced around the city deciphering riddles and performing food-cart challenges.
City buses were packed with Cartathlon participants in costumes, including the Anchorman-inspired Action News Team and the winner of the costume contest Cirque Du Souffle.

After four hours of action, the top four teams went head-to-head in a deal or no deal meets Jeopardy and Double Dare final challenge to determine who would win the grand prize of free cart food for a year and a pair of Keen shoes for each member of the team.

Best team name went to "I Sharted When I Carted," which won a gift pack from Secret Aardvark Trading Company.

A big thank you goes to Big-Ass Sandwiches, EuroTrash, Flavourspot, Grilled Cheese Grill, Koi Fusion, Oregon Ice Works, Potato Champion, Whiffie's Fried Pies and all our volunteers who made it possible!

Cartathlon was generously supported by: Keen Shoes, Red Bull, Secret Aardvark Trading Co., Google Places, Hop Works Organic Brewing, Brewvana, Kind Healthy Snacks and Food Carts Portland.
