Fun fact for anyone about to fill their tank for a drive up the Gorge: Portland's McCormick & Schmick's offers the very same extensive tap list as Full Sail Brewing's own taproom. Even better, some of Full Sail's best offerings are made right there on the glassed-in pilot system overlooking sailboats bobbing along the South Waterfront. When Full Sail's brewers get a break from churning out squeaky-clean Session Ale, they come here to experiment on recipes destined to be draft-only here and at the flagship brewery upriver. At Riverplace, look for a zippy Fresh Hop Pilsner that extends hop season through the solstice, an imperial stout aged in varied bourbon barrels, and a craft malt liquor so fancy even Amanda Fritz wouldn't ask fellow city commissioners to ban it.
