KPTV ...for its 24/7 coverage of a 15-minute story...

Last week's storm brought lots of weather-related nominations for Rogue of the Week: TriMet (for its inability to keep the trains running), Mayor Vera Katz (for--gasp!--asking city employees to show up for work) and KPTV (for its 24/7 coverage of a 15-minute story).

The closest we came to finding real roguery, however, was up in the Northwest Hills, where the constant whining from the five homesteads on Royal Boulevard resulted in a visit from one of the city's few plow-equipped dump-trucks, which got stuck and was out of service for nine hours.

But generally, we here at the Rogue Desk had a blast, watching our colleagues arrive by ski, skate, snowshoe and, in the case of intern Joel Smith, red plastic saucer!
