Phoenix-based fresh-Mex chain Kokopelli Sonoran Grill promises five Portland franchises, the first of which, according to the chain's website, will touch down this summer in Beaverton's Cornell Center. Olé. >> Not content with dominating the real-world cute-sandwich circuit, downtown cafe Half & Half just launched its own blog on UrbanHonking (www.urbanhonking.com/halfandhalf), which owner Robin Rosenberg writes "will attempt to create a true Half & Half 'experience' in cyberspace." What the hell does that mean? "It's gonna have [food] updates," Rosenberg told WW. "But also the goings on and the daily adventures of Half & Half." >> Voodoo Doughnut, Portland's late night sugar-crack HQ, reports that it's celebrating its third birthday Friday-Saturday, May 26-27, with a doughnut-naming contest and performances by the, ahem, "one and only Elvis."
