What Portland neighborhood ranked itself lowest for livability?

WW's weekly election feature—designed to scare the hell out of City Hall candidates.

This week's question to the candidates seeking to replace Commissioner Sam Adams, who's running for mayor:

In the last city auditor's survey, which of the city's dozens of neighborhoods ranked itself lowest in terms of livability?

Jeff Bissonnette: "Gee…I would say that it's Centennial."

John Branam: "Oh my god. Hm. Lents."

Mike Fahey: "Lents."

Amanda Fritz: "I don't know. Many of the answers should be, 'I don't know, but I'll look it up.'"

Charles Lewis: "I don't know."

Chris Smith: "This is just a guess, but is it Powellhurst-Gilbert?"

Answer

: Gold star goes to Smith—Powellhurst-Gilbert in Southeast ranked itself the lowest in terms of neighborhood livability. Also in Southeast, Centennial was fourth from bottom; Lents was sixth.
