Good God, Al Gore is right! Sustainability does sell, just ask
Martha Stewart who has allegedly been flashing her millions again, and this time toward Edible Communities, the Santa Fe-based publisher responsible for the local food mag
Edible Portland.
Thrice-heard buzz from well-informed sources state that
the media magnate wants to buy Edible and is willing to shell out several million dollars for the company, which has published sustainability-centric, seasonally appropriate food porn since 2001. While the content of Edible Communities has always been locally focused, it publishes magazines in more than 50 cities, including Austin, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Atlanta.
Higher ups at the Edible compound in New Mexico say they've heard that rumor too, but call the probability of said arrangement with Ms. Stewart "not likely."
