Holy tight-fitting mesh shirts! Broadway mega-hit
Chicago hit town yesterday with an extra dose of “razzle dazzle.”
Not only does
Dancing with the Stars' Lisa Rinna prove she can sing as well as dance as “foxy” Roxie Hart, but Mr. Luke Duke himself,
Tom Wopat of
Dukes of Hazzard fame, gives Richard Gere a run for his money as the sleazy lawyer Billy Flynn.
Veteran
Chicago star Terra C. MacLeod holds her own as Velma Kelly, but the show is stolen by Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton as she belts out worldly-advice (in song of course!) to her half-naked lady inmates. And you got to love them. But if you don't, there are plenty of boys in mesh.
Rinna makes her Broadway debut with the traveling production that will run at the Keller Auditorium until June 3.
Keller Auditorium, 222 SW Clay St. Tickets available through Ticketmaster or the Portland Opera Box Office, (503) 790-ARTS, (503) 241-1802. $23- $68.
