Nick Jaina, the singer-songwriter so good that yesterday I wrote a Cut of the Day begging someone to release his latest,
The 7 Stations, is without a label no more. Jaina, who also fronts the Binary Dolls, sent this message:
Thanks for the kind words re: my album. It won't be unreleased for long. My friends at Pinball Publishing are starting a label called Bang Back Records. I just found out that my album will be their first release, and it will be out in time for my cd release show on August 31st. Which is good, because I booked that show not knowing how I was going to be able to have any cds for it, and now it seems like it will all come together nicely. Anyway, it will be a small label, but it will feature elegant cardboard packaging and the contract will be structured so that I can work with a bigger label, should one come along in the future.
And suddenly the world seems a little less insane.
