Counting ballots in
Multnomah County to decide the
Oregon governor's race and other contentious ballot questions could continue into the wee hours tonight, says county Elections Division spokesman Eric Sample.
"I think we're going to be counting throughout the day and into the evening," Sample tells
WW. "It could be a late night."
Elections workers so far have counted about 77 percent of the 280,000 ballots cast in heavily Democratic Multnomah County, Sample says. He says there are still about 65,000 ballots left to count.
Elections workers counted throughout the night yesterday and won't stop until they're finished, Sample says.
