He's Got the Funding, But Will It Last?

America's Next Great Restaurant opens and Flava Flav's goes under

If Flava Flav can do it, you can too. No, I’m not talking about wooing 10 women at once with your bank balance, I’m talking about starting a restaurant with those dollars.

The beginning of the new year brought news of Flav opening a New York-style fried chicken joint in his business partner’s home town of Clinton, Iowa.

The leaves are barely back on the trees and due to quarrels between the business partners, Flav’s Fried Chicken has shut its doors.

But even those without the fame and riches to start a business now have the opportunity thanks to NBC: Jamawn Woods just received financial backing to start his own restaurant, Soul Daddy, after taking first place on the reality show America's Next Great Restaurant.

It’s difficult to tell who will be seen running these Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and New York locations, but it’s safe to bet Iowans never saw a short, gold-toothed, clock-wearing man around town.
