The summer is rapidly approaching, so get ready for some of Portland's most colorful characters to come out of the woodwork. The ride of choice for these maniacs is the freak bike: a cycle with two wheels and a chaos of carefully welded pipes. Last weekend, I decided to meet a couple of enthusiasts and learned how to ride two of these monstrosities in preparation for the warm weather to come.
