Giant Cavalia Tent Lands in Portland

It's big, it's white, and it's now in the Pearl District

There is a giant white four-tower tent on NW 12th and Quimby. Why? 


Cavalia, the traveling show that mixes performing arts with equestrian and mystical costumes, has just landed, literally, in Portland. Along with a staff of 100+ people and a whole bunch of horses, creator Normand Latourelle brings to town what is supposedly the largest touring tent in the world, which seats 2,000 spectators and reaches 30 meters high. Here is a video of yesterday’s tent raising. 

The show runs in Portland from Nov. 16 through Dec. 4.
