Portland Police Nab Downtown Snake

The Portland Police Bureau successfully responded to yet another high-profile animal-related incident this morning, capturing a three-foot snake downtown following an anonymous tip.

From the PPB:

Some unanswered questions, beyond the obvious "how did this snake get downtown"?:

Why was this snake frightened? Did it nearly slip into those treacherous streetcar tracks? Or was it all the PSU students doing the walk of shame?

More importantly, how does one know when a snake, sans rattle, looks frightened?
