Our sorta-weekly recap of gossip via OLCC liquor license applications:

Mexican eatery Verde Cocina, which runs a popular stand at various farmers markets and has a restaurant in Hillsdale, looks to be moving in on the recently shuttered Kin space at 524 NW 14th Ave. in the Pearl. Anna and Noe Garnica have put in an application to change the ownership of the liquor license over to their business.

William Prescott Allen and Woody George Wheeler, a.k.a. the owners of the Laurelhurst Theater, have applied for a liquor licence for a restaurant called Township and Range, at 2422 SE Hawthorne Blvd. According to the application, they plan to be open 3 pm to 9 or 10 pm weekdays, and at 8 am weekends for brunch.

Via Chicago, also a popular farmers market stand, looks to be getting closer to the brick-and-mortar outlet of its deep-dish pizza business: It has applied for a liquor license for the 2013 NE Alberta, which is the big building being constructed (or maybe already constructed? I haven't been up there in about a month) next to Bollywood Theater and Salt & Straw.

The Black Cat Tavern at 8230 SE 13th Ave. has applied to upgrade to a full liquor licence, which would allow it to sell spirits.

Vilath Oudomphong appears to be the new owner of the Twilight Cafe & Bar at 1420 SE Powell Blvd.
