Rob Kremer Will Lead Charter School Network

Rob Kremer

Rob Kremer, a political consultant and longtime charter school activist has been named the head of TeamCFA Foundation, which is putting together a national network of charter schools.

TeamCFA is the creation of John Bryan, a Lake Oswego investor. It currently operates eight schools in three states and plans to open another 42 schools over the next decade.

Kremer, the treasurer of the Oregon Republican Party, has been increasingly influential in GOP circles through his consulting firm, Third Century Solutions and its creation, the Transformation Project. Third Century orchestrated the GOP take-over of the Clackamas County Commission in November and was active in several legislative races, although most of its candidates lost. The firm has worked closely with Stimson Lumber CEO Andrew Miller, a large donor to GOP causes and candidates. Their collective efforts were the subject of a recent WW cover story.

Kremer's announcement that he is leaving political consulting comes on the same day that Dr. Knute Buehler, the unsuccessful Republican candidate for Secretary of State, wrote an op-ed for The Oregonian in which he attributed part of the reason Republicans struggle to win Oregon elections to Democrats' superior campaign operations, which include a large stable of political consultants.
