On Monday night, Back Fence PDX,
which hosts live storytelling, celebrated its 5.5 year anniversary with a show at the Gerding Theater.
Among those to take the stage was former State Representative and 2012 Portland mayoral candidate Jefferson Smith
The theme of the evening was "Great Expectations" and Smith used the forum to talk about his tumultuous mayoral campaign, with particular focus on a 1993 incident in which he punched a woman
at a college party in Eugene.
"I went from the guy voted most likely to become president at Harvard Law School to the guy most likely to visit a dog park at 2 pm on a Tuesday," Smith told the audience.
A local blogger named Melanie Coffee
attended the show and wrote a recap
of Smith's performance.
